Alessandro Rossetta is CEO & Founder of FLIM LABS. He earned his MSc in Biomedical Engineering in 2016 at University of California, Irvine: here he worked with Prof. Enrico Gratton in designing instruments capable of acquiring and processing Fluorescence-lifetime signals. In the same year, after moving back to Italy, Alessandro thought FLIM-FCS instruments could be better and further improved. Hence, he proceeded on with a newer, innovative implementation he designed from scratch.
At the beginning of 2018, only two years after his fresh start, a new generation of FLIM-FCS instruments was ready to see the light: it was the time to get validation for this new technology. Therefore, Alessandro decided to apply for PRE-SEED European funds of Regione Lazio which he won and granted at the end of 2018. FLIM LABS was then ready to start its engines.
